Cleveland Beats Chicago Cubs 6-0 In Game 1 Of World Series 2016
The Cleveland Indians beat the Chicago Cubs 6-0 in Game 1 of the 2016 World Series on the quality of a telling execution by their starter Corey Kluber who struck out nine hitters more than six innings.
Kluber was dominant to the point that he struck out eight of the initial nine Cubs hitters he confronted. He had the assistance of go down catcher Roberto Perez who clobbered two homers.
Whelps starter Jon Lester surrendered three keeps running more than 5 2/3 innings. The Indians got to Lester right on time in the amusement. He surrendered a hit and strolled two players in the highest point of the main inning before surrendering an infield hit and hitting a hitter. Before the end of the principal, the Indians were ahead 2-0 and their fans noticed blood.
The Indians included another run when Perez hit a grand slam to left field off Lester in the fourth inning. He struck again in the base of the eighth inning hitting a three-run homer, again to left field, off reliever Hector Rondon.
The Cubs twice debilitated to get back in the amusement. In the seventh inning, they stacked the bases without any outs, yet Indians reliever Andrew Miller close them down. In the eighth inning, the Indians put two runners on base, yet again neglected to score.
