Careless mother pays $250 for copy of Squidward's work of art from "Spongebob"
A Michigan Twitter client guarantees his mom paid $250 for an artwork he instantly perceived - from a scene of Spongebob Squarepants.
Twitter client @DANlEL7 of Houghton Lake tweeted a screenshot of an instant message discussion with his mom where she uncovers she acquired a work of art for $250, "yet the person offering it said it could be worth $3,000 or more."
Daniel went with the screenshot with a photograph of the depiction hanging in his family's kitchen - an imitation of a self-representation painted by Squidward in the Spongebob scene "Craftsman Unknown."
Squidward names the depiction "Intense and Brash," driving a purchaser to react: "More like has a place in the junk."
Daniel's tweet earned him a few answers referencing the purchaser's line from the toon, driving him to post another photograph of the work of art, this time in the waste.
